Roma snatched the qualification card from the German land of Bayer Leverkusen, after imposing a 0-0 draw on it in the second leg of the European League semi-finals.
Rome benefited from its victory in the first leg, with a goal without a response, to succeed in passing to the second continental final in a row, after winning the European Conference League title last season.
Bayer Leverkusen was the best party in everything, especially in terms of control and threatening its guest's goal, but Roma's cohesion gave it a ticket to qualify for the final for the first time since 1990-1991.
Roma maintained its hopes of participating in the Champions League next season if it won the Europe League title, after it logically lost its chance to qualify through the Italian League.
