It appears that Liverpool's Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will miss a period of no less than two months, which was confirmed by the team's Champions League squad.

Each team registered its list with the European Football Association after the end of the summer transfer period.

And the list of Liverpool was devoid of the name of Naby Keita and Chamberlain, both of whom suffer from a muscle injury.

While the list witnessed the presence of the name of the Brazilian Artur Melo, who joined from Italian Juventus on loan for the end of the season a few days ago, and the young Spaniard Stefan Paitić.

Jurgen Klopp's decision to drop Asmi Keita and Chamberlain from the Champions League list confirms their absence for at least two months.

Klopp can register Keita and Chamberlain in the new list at the end of January, if he continues in the tournament that he won in 2019.

The group stage of the Champions League this year ends on the second of next November, unlike what it used to end in December of each year.

This is due to the 2022 World Cup being held in November and December, which caused several changes to the Champions League dates this season.

The group stage starts on September 6 at its usual time annually, but the rest of the group stage matches will be played on successive dates until this stage ends before the World Cup, specifically on November 2.
