Manchester City are just a few steps away from completing the signing of Anderlecht full-back Sergio Gomez this summer.
And the Belgian newspaper, Newsblad, reported that Gomez will travel to Barcelona on Thursday afternoon to undergo a medical examination with City, before flying to Manchester.
The report added that the player will sign a contract linking him to the heavenly team for a period of four or five years.
While The Athletic Network reported that the 21-year-old will travel to England directly to undergo a medical examination before signing contracts.
The report indicated that City had reached an agreement with Anderlecht to include the left-back for 13 million euros + 2 million euros in variables.
Manchester City had planned to loan the player to Spanish Girona, but with not signing Marc Cucurea, the player could continue with the English Premier League champions next season.
