Almeria club announced the signing of Fernando Pacheco from Deportivo Alaves in the summer transfer market.
Pacheco signed a 4-year contract with Almeria after his departure from Alaves, who were relegated to the Second Division.
Almeria returns to the Premier League and is owned by Saudi Arabia, represented by Turki Al-Sheikh, head of the Sports and Entertainment Authority in the Kingdom.
Pacheco (30 years old) played for Alaves during the previous seven seasons, and made 252 matches for his shirt, and contributed to reaching the 2017 King's Cup final.
The Spanish goalkeeper began his career in Real Madrid's youth team, and was promoted to the first team in 2011, but he only played two official matches with him.
Pacheco became Almeria's ninth summer deal, after the Brazilian Kylie from Santos, Serbian Marko Milovanovic from Partizan, Alejandro Pozo from Seville, and Portugal's Guidice from Vitoria Guimaraes.
Serbian Sardjan Babic from Red Star, Guinea-Bissau Hobolang Mendes from Lorient, Slovakian Martin Svidersky from Manchester United, and Arnau Sola from Barcelona also joined.
Almeria will open its matches in the Spanish League against Real Madrid at the Mediterranean Stadium next Sunday.
