Media reports confirmed that Barcelona had reached an agreement to sign full-back Marcos Alonso from Chelsea.
The reports added that the Spanish player will sign a contract for three seasons with the Catalan team, while Chelsea will receive about 10 million euros.
And Thomas Tuchel, the Blues coach, had recently confirmed the approaching departure of Marcos Alonso from the team, in light of the player's desire to take a new experience.
The London team had postponed the completion of the negotiation until the signing of a new left-back, before opening the door to the transfer of the Spanish international after the recent signing of his compatriot Mark Kokoria from Brighton.
Barcelona's moves to sign Marcos Alonso came at the request of coach Xavi Hernandez, who is looking for a player to help Jordi Alba in this field.
