Liverpool officially announced the renewal of the contract of Portuguese star Diogo Jota.
The 25-year-old was tied to a contract that ends in the summer of 2025, but he extended his contract to end in the summer of 2027.
Jota joined Liverpool in the summer of 2020 from Wolverhampton for 45 million euros.
The Portuguese international did not find it difficult to play with the Liverpool attack, although it included the homogeneous trio, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
Jota played 45 matches in the Reds shirt, during which he scored 34 goalscorers and assisted 9 others.
Jota is absent from the ranks of Liverpool due to an adductor muscle injury he has suffered since his participation with his country in the international break last June.
Klopp had made this clear before the preparation period, confirming that Jota would be out for a while.
Liverpool succeeded this summer in the inclusion of Darwin Nunez, the Benfica striker.
While he gave up Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich and Takumi Minamino to Monaco.
But the most important thing for Liverpool this summer is the extension of Mohamed Salah's contract with the team for another 3 seasons.
Liverpool opens its campaign against Fulham next Saturday in the English Premier League.
