Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is looking to write a new page in the history of his club when he faces Crystal Palace in the English Premier League on Monday.

Liverpool hosts Crystal Palace in the second round of the new Premier League season.

If Salah scored against Crystal Palace on Monday night, he would raise his goal scorer with Liverpool to 120, to occupy the second place in the club's top scorer list throughout its history in the English Premier League with its modern system.

Thus, he will be equal with Steven Gerrard, who has 120 goals, who is currently in second place, behind leader Robbie Fowler.

Fowler scored 128 goals for the Reds in 266 games over 9 seasons.

The expected goal will make Salah the eighth in the list of the club's best scorers since its inception.

He is currently equal with Michael Owen, with 158 goals in various competitions.

The Egyptian captain loves to meet Crystal Palace, as he scored 7 goals and assisted 6 in 10 matches.

He has contributed 11 goals in just the last 7 matches against Crystal Palace.

Salah aims to maintain the Golden Boot award for the top scorer in the English Premier League, which he won 3 times in the last five seasons.

The former Arab Contractors player won the award in the 2017-2018, 2018-2019 and 2021-2022 seasons.

In his first season with Liverpool, Salah won the award with 32 goals, two goals behind Harry Kane, the Tottenham striker.

As for the following season, Salah shared the award with his colleague at the time, Sadio Mane and Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with 22 goals.

He also shared it with Tottenham striker Son Heung-min last season with 23 goals.

Liverpool are seeking their first win in the English Premier League this season, after they tied in the opening round with Fulham with two goals to the same.
