Barcelona cheers up their fans and ends their waiting by announcing the signing of Franck Kessie on a free transfer.
FC Barcelona has announced their first deal in the summer of 2022, after signing captain of the Ivory Coast team, Franck Kessie, in a free transfer
Kessie moved to Barcelona in a free transfer after the expiry of his contract with Ac Milan, despite several attempts from the latter to extend his contract for a longer period.
Barcelona has posted a lengthy statement on its official website to disclose the details of Kessie's contract.
The statement said: "Barcelona has reached an agreement with Franck Kessie on the player's accession to Barcelona after the expiry of his contract with AC Milan," the statement said.
He added: the player will sign a contract until 30 June 2026 and his buy out clause will be set at 500 million euros"
The statement concluded: " Kessie will be presented as a Barcelona player on Wednesday, 6th July. "
On Wednesday morning, the player will come out on to the Tito Vilanova training pitch wearing the first kit for the 22/23 season shirt for the 2022-2023 season.
The Ivory Coast captain will then hold a press conference in the Catalan club's sports city to answer journalists questions.
