Bayern Munich announced the signing of Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus on a contract that runs until the summer of 2027.

De Ligt, 22, started with Ajax Amsterdam before joining Juventus in 2019, and the Dutch defender was the youngest captain of the Ajax team.
Bayern took advantage of selling its Polish striker Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona for 45 million euros, with five million additions, to finance the new deal.
Juventus signed De Ligt in the summer of 2019 from Ajax for 85 million euros.
The 22-year-old played 117 games with Juventus, during which he scored eight goals and assisted three others.
De Ligt won the Serie A, Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup once.
The Dutch defender became Bayern Munich's fourth signing after Sadio Mane from Liverpool, Ryan Gravenberch from Ajax and Nassir Mazraoui in a free transfer deal.
