Tottenham has agreed a £60m deal with Everton to sign Richarlison
Tottenham made a written offer of £40 million at 4 p.m on Wednesday, but Bill Kenwright, the Everton Chairman, initially went away believing that the offer wasn't sufficient.
Tottenham then raised the offer by paying an initial £50 million directly, with a further £10m in add-ons.
Everton isn't satisfied with the £60million offer, but they had to accept the fee by the 30 June deadline to give their coach, Frank Lampard, the freedom to move in the transfer market.
The deal was sealed late on Wednesday, and Richardson is supposed to undergo the medical examinations in the coming days to conclude his transfer process to Tottenham.
Richardson will be Tottenham's fourth deal this summer after:
Fraser Forster
Ivan Perišić
Yves Bissouma
Tottenham Hotspur are close to sealing a loan agreement with Barcelona for French center-back Clement Lenglet
It's believed that Everton agreed to sell Richardson to Tottenham to avoid breaking the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules before the end of the fiscal year.
